When I launched our coaching business, Frame of Mind Coaching, back in late 2006, I didn't really know how to price my services.  I decided to coach in 10 week increments and my price tag for 1-on-1 coaching was $1,200.  Today I charge upwards of $6,000 - sometimes more depending on the client - for the exact same amount of time, and I get more clients now than I did 4 years ago. 

I've found several factors paralyze coaches from raising their fees:

  • You're fearful that the demographic you serve won't pay higher fees (they hardly pay your fees now!);
  • You wonder how you'll justify your fee increase;
  • You wonder if you're services are actually worth more than what you currently charge;
  • You're scared to lose potential clients to other coaches who charge less.

I understand all of these concerns.  I've been there.  It's scary to think that if you raise your fees, no one will pay and your already sluggish sales will cease to a halt.
